The Plastic Problem: Why We're Taking Action

A Threat to Our Health

Microplastics are showing up in our foods and water systems. The long-term health impacts are still to be seen, but links are suspected between microplastics and cancer, respiratory impairments,  and other major health issues. It's time we remove toxic packaging from our daily life.

Environment Pollution

A Burden to The Planet

Petroleum-based plastics can take up to 1200 years to decompose, generating greenhouse gas emissions that threaten wildlife habitat, damage marine ecosystems, and degrade our air quality.

A Sustainable Path Forward

Innovative Plant-Based Bioplastics

NextGen Bioplastics offers innovative, plant-based alternatives to traditional plastics. Our proprietary biopolymers replace LDPE and PP resins, delivering eco-friendly solutions for blown film extrusion, thermoforming, and injection molding. We combine cutting-edge technology with decades of manufacturing expertise to drive the transition to sustainable materials.

Using hemp and other plant-infused biopolymers, we create durable and versatile packaging for the food services industry, including to-go containers, cutlery, water bottles, and more.  Our products are designed to be fully compostable within 2 months, helping to reduce landfill waste and reliance on fossil fuels.

Local Renewable Resources

We proudly source our hemp and other plant materials from local Pennsylvania farms, creating a sustainable circular economy that strengthens both our community and environment. Our partnerships with local farms support agriculture while reducing carbon emissions from transportation. Hemp is naturally resilient and grows quickly with minimal water requirements, making it an ideal crop for sustainable manufacturing. This local sourcing approach completes a regenerative cycle: Pennsylvania-grown agriculture become NextGen's plant-based packaging, which then returns to soil through composting.
